Just left an abusive relationship - need advice
After 8 years, I finally found the courage to leave. I have two kids and I'm staying with my sister temporarily. I don't know where to start - I need help finding housing, understanding my legal options, and just... emotional support. Has anyone been through this? Any advice is appreciated.

I left 3 years ago with my kids and I'm on the other side now. Please reach out if you want to talk privately. You are NOT alone. The first 90 days are the hardest. 💙
Contact your local Legal Aid office first - they can advise on custody and housing free of charge. Also look into YWCA emergency housing. They helped me tremendously.
You are so brave. I'm proud of you. Take it one day at a time. Document everything with your kids' school and doctor – it'll help with custody later if needed.
