Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using Synergistic Sisterhood. They govern your access to and use of our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Synergistic Sisterhood ("SSH", "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be a woman of 19 years of age or older to use this Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where this requirement is not met.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and up to date. • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Community Guidelines
All members must adhere to the following: • Treat all members with dignity, respect, and compassion. • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind. • Do not share other members' private information without their consent. • Do not impersonate other people or entities. • Do not post spam, fraudulent listings, or misleading content. • Report harmful or concerning behavior to the moderation team. • All marketplace transactions must be conducted honestly and in good faith. Violation of these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.
5. Marketplace
SSH provides a marketplace for members to exchange goods, services, and digital products. We are not a party to transactions between members. You are solely responsible for your listings, representations, and fulfilling your commitments to buyers or service recipients. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items or services offered.
6. Tokens & Virtual Currency
Platform tokens are a virtual in-platform currency. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are non-transferable outside the platform. Tokens are for use within SSH only and do not constitute property. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the token system at any time with reasonable notice. Tokens forfeited due to account suspension or termination for violations are non-refundable.
7. Content Ownership & License
You retain full ownership of any content you post on the Platform. By posting, you grant Synergistic Sisterhood a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to store, display, and distribute that content solely within the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account. We will not sell, sublicense, or exploit your content for commercial gain outside the Platform.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments) and Salesforce (CRM). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. SSH is not liable for the actions or policies of third-party providers.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of any member. The Platform is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or crisis support services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SSH and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the total fees paid by you to SSH in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, community guidelines, or for any conduct we deem harmful to the community or the Platform.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the Platform or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, you agree to first contact us at legal@synergisticsisterhood.com to seek an informal resolution. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or privacy violations.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario for any dispute not subject to arbitration.
